Unit: Critical Reading

We have so many identities: we speak and act and love different things

in different ways at different times.  We explore and experiment and

discover as we read and write the world.  Strong writers write from the

inside - who we are, who we've been, who we want to be. 

Our identities are the collected beliefs, experiences, and values that

shape and filter our lives.  Identity includes race, religion, culture, class,

gender, age, neighborhood, family, personality, personal interests, and

more. . .
